what we do

We make bold, brilliant and beautiful theatre.

In 1993, excitedly we made our first show, Twelfth Night with Eddie Marsan as Malvolio. Throughout the next 15 years, we journeyed wherever our passion took us – performing Shakespeare, new writing and devising our own shows.

In 2009, we created our own rehearsal studios, the fh space, in a converted Victorian warehouse. Here we have created performances with fine artists, run workshops and through sharing our space, have mentored others to realise their dreams. In 2016 we made our first new show in a while, writing, producing and performing Aphrodite in Flippers, premiering at the Brighton Fringe.

Over 20+ years our core values have remained the same to work bravely, with a big heart and great humour to produce wonderful theatre.

As we move into our next cycle, you’ll see women front and centre in all that we do, both on and behind stage. Men will definitely be there too but our work will largely be from a female perspective.

Our mission statement is simple: to create bold, life affirming and inspiring productions.
